headers/extractors.. Are they illegal ?

some ppl say that every modification is illegal unless engineered. but if a cop sees an aftermarket header, i doubt they'll bust you for it.

you can't put a cover on most aftermarket headers, becayse it doesn't have no thread to bolt the cover on.
like the stock ones do.

^ true, most small workshops should be able to fabricate some sort of bracket to make the heat shield fit somehow to make it look stock. Or if all else fails I tend to go towards cheap ghetto methods aka cable ties :p

i try to think of it this way if a cop was to ask couldnt you say your stock headers cracked and the ones using are a replacement or would they argue why didnt i get replace ment stock ones

I am on my green p's and i have headers on my car. Last time i was taking photos with some mates and out bonnet was open and the cop came. He saw my headers and went to the back to look at my exhaust, but he didn't say nothing about them.

cops will do you for anything if they want these days... jst dont do anything to to attract too much attention when you see them...

i got pulled over kus i supposedly ran a red... searched my entire car... bonnet to boot... didnt say anything even though i had a few things under the bonnet & im on my reds

just a matter of luck i say...
