I got pedders super low springs, cost $79 per spring (so total $480 including installation)... got it done a Jaxx quickfit, really good guys, did full wheel alignment, tyre balance, and even tyre shined my rubber :D

it dropped it 1.5" at the front and 1" at the rear... i wouldn'e think youd wanna go too much lower with 20s, otherwise your front wheels will scrap when turning corners...

you can go full coilovers, but only really a benefit if you want lower than 1.5inch, or if you want to improve handling...

heres pic of mine lowered on 18s:

Arent those springs call Pedders Sports Ryders.... correct me if im wrong... also.... I got Quoted $600 installed from the local Pedders Store... is that too expensive.... that includes the springs, all the installation, testing, and 40000kms Nationwide warrantee.... hmm.... Im getting ripped cos im a chick arent I?

The lowest I've dropped was from memory, 55mm or 60mm off the ground, The tyres were right up the guard, not only it was illegal but it was impossible to drive... Raised the car up three times now just to make it legal and easier to drive LOL!

Adammet04 has Pedders on his car too and I think he has no problems with it...

lol maybe... yeah theyre called sports ryder, good picking up! but i think super low sounds better (nah really i just got my springs mixed up, super lows are the king springs version)

i couldnt justify spending $2000+ on full coilovers, besides, i didnt want it slammed anyway :) yeah $600 seems abit high (seeing as jaxx sell all 4 springs for $320 and then $160 labour) but maybe its because of theyre 40000 warranty?

i got them done 3months ago i think, already done canberra to brisbane twice, and a couple of sydney trips, no problems with them, and theyre still a very comfy drive (not stiff or bumpy)

Does the JAXX supply you warranty? hmm... Im confused? I bet the guy was trying to rort me cos he heard i was a girl? LOL.... MeN... cant live with them, cant live without them!!!! Seems that pedders are the way to go... tho i heard i cant go that low on Pedders right.... I heard it can only go down up to 1.5-2" max... hmm... dont know how that would look on my car.... How bout KMAC and KING SPRINGS... are they worth it? I heard the KMAC ones you can go as low as you want?

Doesn't matter if they are 16" or 20". It's the width (of the rim and tyre) and offset that determines if your tyres rub when lowered.

My car is lowered 1" using Tein Flex. If you go very low, it's good to change to lowered shocks as well.

EUR003act
23-08-2007, 11:35 PM
any spring using the stock shock will only go down a maximum 1.5-2inch... king springs are the exact same heights as the pedders ones, im not sure about kmac.

if you wanna go lower youd have to replace shocks as well which will dramatically increase the total price.

jaxx comes with mandatory 3month warranty... i just checked the reciept, they also did a full brakes and suspension safety check... :D

i was thinking more clearance of the front wheels when turning... and the fact hers are 8.5inch...

I have Pedders on my euro with Koni yellows as well. - The ride is great with the Koni's but it was a bit ordainary with just the springs. If you look around on Ebay and the like I'm sure you will find a set of coil overs for around the $900 - $1000 mark...

40mm at the front
35mm at the rear

17" stock rims which sits just nice :)

any lower than 1.3 inch at the front and 1.0 inch at the back and you will need to either drive very carefully or replace your shocks..

imo the perfect height is about 1.7 at the front and 1.4 at the back

Hey quick question... i told the guy that was installing my springs and they said they had to go 1 1/2" all wat round.... they said i couldnt do it any other measurement.. so why did you get the same springs and was able to go 1.5" at the front and 1" at the rear is that why mine is scrapping?

The amount lowered depends on the springs used. Is yours the same Pedders Super Low?

My suggestion,if u wanna lower your car and still comfortable for daily use and still can bring people, easy to install, dont need to do this and that, dont need to modify this and that, just buy eibach pro kit or eibach sportsline spring, eibach is one of the best spring in the world. some of my friends they using 20" as well, all of them go with eibach spring and dont need to modify, just fit and ready to go and not bumpy at all.they will lower your car around 30-40mm max 45mm and just look nice. and not bumpy at all.but the spring is a bit expensive like around ($500-$550).you wont regret if u use eibach.hope dis can solve your problem.:D

Won't solve her problem as her rim's offset and width are not suitable for the Euro.

WELL, today i went back to Ozzy, they kinda rolled my guards abit more, tho it still doesnt seem they did it enough.. Also they told me i should machine my wheels down... that will make its fit and will not rub anymore... so yeah they said it will cost around $50 a wheel... does that sound rite and also what does that do.....is there any side affects i should knowe about before i do it... or should i jsut get new tyres size 225/30zr20 and replace my 225/35zr20. ive got quotes for $220 a tyre for nankang or hancook... plz help....

Why dont you cut your losses and sell your rims. Dont fit wide 20 inch rims to a lowered 4 cyl sedan - you can see the problems it causes.

Shaving rims is not the way to go. It can weaken the rims depending on the rim construction. If it will cost you $200 to shave 4 rims, consider selling the rims for one with the correct offset.

BTW, 225/35 R20 has a 31mm larger rolling diameter over the stock size and you can get defected for it. 225/30 R20 is legal though.

225/30 R20 just gives you an extra 1.1 cm of travel before it hits guards again. 1.1 cm is not much, so it won't fix your problem. Will you consider 215/30 R20 instead?

Agree with yfin, reconsider a different size wheel.

It will fit but you only gain 0.5cm of space. So it might not be enough. Sell your rims and get proper offset rims. If you can swap them for ones with the proper offset, go for that.

Agreed. As you have found out it's just not worth the hassle.try and swap them for some 18s.BTW for your car to be legal i think you can only go a max.of +2(meaning if the car comes with 17s max.you can go is 19s).
