If you're planning to get a boost controller then just get an electronic one since most of them have built in boost gauge. You can buy the other gauges aswell but its not really needed on a daily car.

most air/fuel gauges off shelf are only narrow band, which are completely innacurate and dont really surve any functional purpose. The only Real Air/fuel Gauge is a Wideband and are quite expensive, $500ish i believe atleast
Probably the best gauges for you to get would be either boost, oil temp/pressure or water temp. But really for a basic setup you would really only need a boost gauge.

Thanks guys

Anyone know of some better written GReddy turbo kit instructions?

The ones that came with it blow hard

You don't NEED any gauges.

But its 'good' to have.

Boost/Vac
Oil Temp
Oil Pressure
Water Temp

And thats not necesarily because you are boosting your car. They are good either way.

Can we narrow it down to two?

I'm only getting a two gauge pod holder lol

i got mine brand new for 60$, but unless ur going for a full matching face (as in more then one guage) it dont really matter what one u use just so long as it works, so im sure that one would be fine. but if u buy second hand make sure the needle reads right and hasnt been messed with (it isnt that hard to throw the needles off, mines off buy 1 psi :))

What do you guys think of this 4 in one gauge from speco, its $300 and comes with a 1 year warranty. http://www.speco.com.au/tachos.html Its the 5th one down, on the left.

Does anyone have any experiance with this tacho, or any speco gauges for that matter. Im a little concerned with quailty, as they are on the cheaper end of the scale.

5" 12 volt 4 in 1 memory recall tacho
0–12,000 rpm, with oil pressure (0–100 psi), water temperature (0–0120º), boost (0–30 psi), external shift light, 12,000 rpm dial, red back lighting. Includes electrical senders and boost gauge line kit.

Also, you can mount gauges like this into a flat panel correct?

Generally speco are cheap low quality gauges... however only really know this by word of mouth, not experience. if its got a 1 year warrenty and you wanna give it a go, and the price is right.... why not?

i have known these cheap ebay gauges more accurate than $150 autometer ones.

How do i know???? Simple. I have used an e-boost, an autometer pro-comp and a cheap $30 ebay one.

Both the eboost and $30 ebay one read the same all the time, while the autometer would very often be off.

I told autometer and got it replaced. Same problem.

Now, back to using the $30

Also, luke, try and get one that reads boost in PSI not BAR. At such a low boost, reading BAR is difficult considering 1 bar is abound 12 13 psi

Thats like saying get KPH not MPH, because 100mph is about 161kph.

Bar gauges don't go up by the Bar they do have increments.

It comes down to personal preference, that is all.

Ok sick, lets make sure the standard kit his using is only going to 0.3447379 BAR, and later we'll boost it to 0.4862 BAR.

There ok, just trying to make life a little easier. U can ask the seller if he'll give u a PSI one instead, if u want it that is

So convert it.

Like I said its personal preference. Its an analog gauge. Weather its in Psi, Bar or whatever you can see where the needle lands.

I have a KPA boost/vac gauge. I run with that fine.
