Found an s2k that i was interested. Since it's located interstate, i asked for a bunch of photos. As i thought, it has been in a small hit at the front somehow.
The drivers side door has been painted and the rear bar too.

Apart from that, the car is great!

It's a 2000 Model, with only 60k Kms. He wants 34k for it.

What do you guys think? Or what price you think would be fair to go ahead with a car like this?

Thanks for any help!

Yea it has log books! It's black and black! Has the centre console in black too, not in carpet like most 2000 models

for a 99/00 model only the immaculate ones go for 35k

overpriced

It's not overpriced at all, but i would offer 31-33 as others have said. But its worth whatever your happy to pay for it. So if your like the car , buy it. As long as your happy with it then it was worth it:thumbsup:

you dont think 34k for a car thats had a front end and side damage is overpriced?

if it had no accident history then i'd say 34k is a decent price. market value perhaps

yea its rear end, front end and passenger door. The body is in great condition, engine etc.

Just those small things that worry me a little bit. But the guy that checked it, said whatever it was, they are very minor because the chassis, inside of the car all looks straight!

The ad hasn't been up for long, i was the first one to contact him the day the ad went up!

It's not like its out of the ball park, and is most likely negotiable. Depends a lot on the condition of the rest of the car as well. Just because it may have had a tap doesn't mean the end of the world though. If its been repaired properly with new parts and there is no chassis damage, it may still be in better condition then other examples.

EDIT:

yea its rear end, front end and passenger door.

But front, rear, and side doesnt sound too minor lol
unless it was 3 seperate *minor* accidents.....

Tell him he's dreaming son !!! I hate to say this but plenty of S2000's for sale all negotiable $34 is a good starting point for him, but being a 2000 model owner myself, Insurance book price is $34.795 as of today and I would be offering between 30 -31.500, he won't sell it quickly I,m sure at that price.but if he does anyone wanna by mine ???? lol

i agree .

I sold my Red 99 / 62,000kms / full service for $35k last December .
i had my front bar replaced ( due to a light hit ) and the driven side front 1/4 panel sprayed and i still got that price .

I think the price this seller is asking is reasonable ,as others have pointed out there's always room to move on the asking price. Just too many tight arse's out there not willing to pay for it , simple .

Just stay away from anything that may have had a crash, even a small rear end shunt that may leave minimal damage can bend the rear subframe, just not worth it IMO later u get the regretts..
