I really want to buy a 5zigen cat back for my EM1. but they only make them for the EK. Wat is needed to make these fit onto the EM1. I hear that the B-pipe is fine, just the axle back needs to be modified?

What modifications need to be made? will it be difficult for an exhaust shop to fit it up.

Wat makes the EK one different to the EM1?

Any help would be much appreciated,

Thanks guys,
-Mike

Mate I was in your situation only a few weeks ago. You just need to extend it a bit. Apparently its not a big deal, but I decided that if I was going to spend alot of money on an exhaust I didn't want to "ruin" it by cutting and welding it or whatever. In my mind it sorta wrecks the whole point of having a bling exhaust. There are systems out there that are pretty much bolt on. Maybe have a look around.

yep extend axleback, cut and weld. thats what i got told, cause i wanted a fujitsubo powergetter, and there is only an EK one, no EM1's :thumbdwn:

i guess coz em1 has a boot it needs the modification to extend the axel back from EK to EM1 length.

STRETCH IT GOOD!
haha

not worth paying for a bolt on catback then gettin it hacked..

Im thinking of putting a powergetter on my EM1, but welding, will it effect the potential sound and kw boost of it?

only extending a couple inches afaik shouldn't affect anything performance or sound wise

unless they have one made for Ek sedans... sedans=coupe..

but then yea.. get an exhaust to extend it for u .. its a rather simple job and shouldn't make noticeable difference performance wise
