Hi

This might be a really silly question but I have just removed my standard gearshift knob and am looking to install my new MOMO one, there's a white plastic ring on top of the gear boot, how do I remove that because I must get rid of that before screwing down the new MOMO.

Is there anything else I need to do where the gear boot is involved?

Any advice would help me heaps.

Many Thanks

You have to remove the trim around the gear shift by opening the ashtray and pulling it straight up. There are four corner clips securing it, the boot is also connected to it. Turn the boot inside out and you will notice a small cable tie securing it to the boot, just cut it off. However the boot wont sit perfectly with an after market shift knob. I manage to get mine looking ok with the Maven Motorsport Knob.
