Which material would be good for a spoiler? Fiber or ABS?

ABS is more lightweight and more durable. But it's quite hard to damage your spoiler anyways, I would just be worried about it's weight. Goodluck.

It is most likely going to be hollow anyway, so weight is never an issue. As for the material, it doesnt matter at all, its just a wing :D

This is a wing spoiler i am talking about. But would it flex or crack if its too light? I read that OEM bodykits use ABS and spoiler feels quite solid

edit* No one mentioned Fiber. Is that a crap material?

if it's a wing spiler and made out of ABS..
wouldnt it bend and stuff under downforce?

OEM material is ABS. although its lighter than fiberglass, it wont bend under downforce under a road car's speed. or up to certain speed.
civic type R EK 9 uses ABS. if you're talking about JGTC's speed or F1, that's a different story, that would be carbon fibre for durability and lightweight.

good manufacturing process shouldn't make it flex, cos they have calculated the stress points of the kit under pressure, and strengthened them.

as in crack, it won't. other than someone hit it, or something hit it. fiberglass prone to crack easier

Sweet, so ABS = FTW?

ABS should be stable in an environment with zero wind as long as your car stays under around 220km/h? if its hollow, i'd be worried about a bit of drag from creating too much air resistance, unless you can mount it properly.
