There was a ZC variant of the D16A, being a DOHC, non vtec 1.6 litre, but you would not have seen it in anything as new as a DC2!!

This engine was found in cars like the JDM EG Si civic and Si CRX, late 80's, early 90's!

I could assume that there MAY have been a JDM 4-door (rover) version of the 86-88 integra with this engine, as our 2 door model came with a D16A in it, but i can only speculate!

look on the engine block, there should be the engine number engraved onto it.
but if its a zc motor its a d16 found in eg si's and some others

ok, after a bit of research, i found out that the zc 1.6 engine is the stock engines that come in the 4 door integra, they were released from 1st thru to 3rd generation but only in japan (also some in the us), but the integra i saw isnt called DC2 or DC4 but DB8 (not sure what the DA9 variant is called).... but still leaves me asking the question, why zc?? when honda could've used a B engine or even D?

excess stock. just like how they unloaded d-series into the hrv for a few years to get rid them

zc engines are a dime a dozen in the states...
he probably did some overnight parts from torretto...:D

but yeah, i seen plenty on US forums about their zc mods...but never seen the motor sit in anything newer than an EG

as others have said , its excess stock.
Also , remember the "ZC" dohc is exactly the same as a local D16a8 (found on the gen 2 CRX , and EG Si civic). 96kw is ok :)
