Hi hope someone can shed some light on my problems.

I have been told that these tyres in these specs are pretty expensive because they are not that common. Wondering if that was true?

Anyways I'm looking for tyres in that spec to fit on my Odyssey, The car obviously will not be tracked. Looking for a set that has good all round qualities. Been looking at Falken ST115, Kumho KU31 and Conti Sport Contact.
Been quoted on the Kumho @ $275 and Conti @ $440. Haven't gotten a quote on the Falken's yet.

I know the Conti is supposed to be a superior product to the Kumho and Falken's, just wondering how much better and is it worth the price diff. I am assuming that the Kumho and Falken are about the same price, but can anyone advise which is better between the 2? Thanks in advance.

I think buy the tyre that suits your application. Conti Sport are probably unnecessary. Probably the more common size would be 235/40/18 (Common Aussie car spec). Makes me question whether 45 profile is correct for your car?

Out of those three, on the basis of a cost/value/application analysis, I would choose kumho. I have read too many bad things about Falken to even think about going near them. Others will have different viewpoints however.

ey

try not to go for the falcons especially when using a van they are really soft compound, with the contis probally made in europe sumwhere they are preety hard compound shuld be fine for the van just that the price is to expensive, kumho is made in korea, medium compound preety good alrounder

if u go 4 the 235 40 18, you can get your self Toyo for around $150 or close to that.

Hows the road noise on the G111? Got a quote today for the Adrenelin RE0001 for $273, they guy said that it is the replacement for the G111, supposed to be better.

I'm now contemptating between the Kumho and the Bridgestone because the reviews for the Kumho interms of noise is quite good also, just wondering how the Bridgestones are.

The specs are correct, these spec tires are the closest to the original rolling diameter for the Odyssey. Used a tire calculator to get the specs, plus that's what most ODC owners are using.

hahaha.. some ppl would be offended if you called an ODC a 'van'. I prefer to call it 'a new age people mover'. lol

Bridgestone RE001 is the way to go if noise is a concern!
