I think to see if the lights are still working. Cos most of the displays dont come up on normal driving. I guess its also a show off factor to your mates while ur in the car bored? :p

Typical Singaporeans style of speaking.... :D

the numberplates gave the country of origin away as well...

I think all new Hondas can do the gauge sweep now...

Parking lights as in the stage before you turn on your low beam headlights.

tried it just then... it works :D

it does 1 'cycle' i.e. tacho going up/down and fuel/temp going up/down... then you can press the sel/reset button and it does it again

will definitely show it off next time :) but yeah amusement factor does wear off very quickly

edit: you can put your seatbelt on before you do this so that it doesn't do the annoying beep from turning the key to II whilst not being buckled in...

heheh yeah definitely give it a go...

one thing, it doesn't matter if you have your seat belt on or not, it beeps anyway. must be part of the diagnostic routine.

also, i tried this on an accord euro and it worked there too! but instead of the sel/reset button you use the odo reset button in the dial cluster. looks a bit cooler in the euro because you have 4 dials going up and then down in sync!
