Hi guys,
The dash lights in my LS have been dodgy for awhile now. When driving at night they will just go out. If i whack the side of the dash a few times they normally come back on. They also go out everytime i turn the temp knob around to hot. So tonight this happened again but they won't come back on now so its time to fix the problem. Any suggestions? Hopefully not too difficult for a novice like me to fix.

true, check all your fuses not just the one for your lights, is there any other lights that went off also? do you have a dimmer control? try play around with that also it may help.
Thanks

Dimmer controls can often go. Can get one cheap at wreckers.
Check fuses; but don't think it's then.
I would dissassemble your guage cluster and check for loose connections.

Yeah all the fuses are good. I don't know whether there is a problem with the dimmer switch cos when the lights are on the dimmer switch works to dim the lights down. Pretty sure it would be a loose connection somewhere, as they come back on if i give the dash a good whack. What would be the easiest way to go about checking it out as im fairly new to electrics

Okay can someone give me some tips on how to remove dash panel and get to the area behind instrument panel, tried unscrewing all visible screws but it won't pop out. Easier way of doing it?
