does anyone know if we need anything to fit 18 inch wheels on a type s?
and what was the offset and things we need to kno b4 putting them on?
will it scrap or has anyone previously done it, and got any suggestions?

You can fit 18" wheels on a type S without changing anything, just expect a harder ride. If you find wheels with +40 to +50 offset you won't have any issues with scrubbing.
As far as suspension goes, a set of coilovers will allow you to find the ride hight and stiffness that suits, but if you cant afford it, there is no worries using regular suspension.
i have 18x7.5 +43 on my DC5R, no rubbing at all.
i have whiteline springs on mine, they look silly high on 18's and stock sussy.

Just got myself 18’s by 7 ½, with +45 off set.
Won’t get tyre’s put on till the end of month:thumbdwn:
Tyre of choice is 225/40 I’m hoping every thing should be sweet.
Hey Matt, what's your tyre size?

Yes, 18x8 will work, but its pushing it, and you might find scrubbing when your at full lock. If i was you, put coilovers first, then wheels later, dc5 integra's look awesome on stock rims if lowered.
Pm if youd like a piccy of mine.
i agree with twofruitz about suspension first, i think ull find ur dissapointed at the look of your car if u put 18's on with out lowering it first,
even if its just springs to start off with.

trueee so whats the best coilovers to get? anyone got any suggestions?
but the suspension on the type s is pretty stiff already aye, if i get just normal springs will it be as stiff? or as good? for control and that?
recommendations of brands for springs or coilovers?
cheers

springs - Kings, if you want something cheaper, ive also heard that Pedders isnt too bad. If you want to spend more, Eibach or Spoon would be your best bet. Just dont chop your stock springs lol
coilovers - buddyclubs or TEINS. i dont know other brands lol
also, dont skimp on tyres, especially on 18", as they will cost a fair bit, so budget for replacement tyres later on down the track
i have whiteline springs on my DC5R, they have been fine quality wise, the ride is pretty good except when going over large edges on the road, bridgegaps etc.
just remember that the DC5S has different springs to the DC5R so make sure u specify that when your ordering springs.
that doesnt matter when if your buying coilovers tho, buddyclub N+ are very popular for a lower priced coilover.
i do plan to upgrade to coilovers some time soon tho.

true.. btw me and my mates are having an arguement atm abt which one is faster, the type r or type s? im saying type s becos it has more torque and kw though its heavier so what do u guys rkn?
so is the coilovers a big difference? my brother got some for his starlet GT and it is stiff like mutha u feel every little bump, its like a workout everytime u go in it LOL.. so yea
it had been proven time and time again, with similar drivers and stock vs stock, the TypeS IS FASTER.
