What color? How long did you have to wait for delivery after signing papers?

Wooo jumping from a crapmodore to a honda is the best thing you done. But then again the power difference and a FF layout might make you think twice.
I think the civic will get you more chicks though :D

lol @ chix
wats rong with power difference?
the sport has 124kw, for its weight, that doesnt make it much different to the commo
Yeh man no more bogan chix! hehe
I haven't drove a civic sport, but i got a VTI-L aswell. Nice cars to pimp around.

I signed the papers on july 17th so it was about a 6 week wait. (Because I am an old dude, I wanted an Auto, so at the time the dealer indicated that it would be about 3 months wait for a civic sport with auto, but then he indicated they had a Bluish Silver auto or a Silver comming in at the end of September so I elected to go for Bluish Silver).
In regards to the powwer diff, I was a little miffed to find that the Aussie Honda Civic doesnt have as much oomph as the american SI model (and no SAT NAV option grrr I really like that integrated Sat Nave Stereo) but acceleration wise its about the same as my VT : 0 - 100 in about 9 seconds which is about the same in the civic sport.
And the Flippy Paddles should be a bit of fun
I did go for a test drive in the type R but that is definately a young mans car.. hehe after about 10 mins I was exhausted.
I think the Civic sport will have enough class to get me the right kind of chic for my age ;-) and will be comfortable for those trips from Geelong to Melb.
Thanks for your interest guys.
(Whats the bet a special edition will come out not long after I pick it up with the Sat Nav hehe)
You don't need Sat Nav. A Melways is only $35, and you can use it to kill spiders. :D
Good luck with the Civic. :honda:

I prefer to have a Honda SAT NAV, cos MY SAT NAV (girlfriend) doesnt work most of the time :p

and besides SAT NAV just adds more coolness to an already cool interior.
(I am sure Shimian's Girlfreind adds a fair amount of coolness too, but the maintenance costs on the Sat Nav are probably cheaper ;) )

Yup Picked it up this arvo :D
So far I have done a whole 43K I will post pics soonish.. its dark out there now. I might head up to the beach on the weekend and take a few snaps
Much more torque than I expected. Feels quicker than the commodore (size helps) But havent done much at the mo.. I will ease the engine in.. just in case I I got a five year warranty so I wann make sure it lasts that long ;-)

i drove a manual vti-l, powerful thing
u could really make it move with the manual
so much torque down low, compared to my civic
one huge issue with it was the lack of noise it makes ffs
coz i have a new muffler on the back of my civic, and the engine in the 7th gen civic is louder than the 8th gen, it was much easier to drive as i use sound to tell wen to shift, never use the tacho
and in the new civic, i coodnt get used to looking at the tacho, lol, so if urs was a manual, i wooda suggested a massive fart cannon, would help make things easier if ur lazy and like to listen to music loud
but urs is an auto, so i spose that isnt necesary, lol

Yeah I think So. I reckon the full size Euro plates would be too big for the civic . It would hide behind them. I didn't want the plates to be the main feature on the car as such.
