In my opinon if you dont already know what to do and how to fix it up yourself and would need someone to do all the work, its prob gonna result in a fairly high bill.

hi there,

im new here, and if you are referring to pickles auction they were selling cars for the storm in northern nsw and qld from earlier this year.

i was very keen on a euro or v6 accord as well and contact honda in regards to the water damage repair eg. costs

the answer i got was its was fairly expensive to repair all electrics and all depends on how bad the damage is in the car. they also mentioned
the warranty would be voided....

end result is not worth it unless you have an electrician buddy.

cheers

you are asking for for a headache and a hole in your wallet.

we've had to carry out repairs on repairable flood writeoff's at work before and it's a nightmare

no, these days cars have millions of wires and computers and computers running the car. its not like the old days where you just have to dry the car and drive off.

Electrician said...you have an accident and Air bags dont go off or the ABS brakes fail or your EBD fails then you can be in trouble.

anyways...your call but you better off finding one that had panel damage than water damage.

cheers

NO! Because everything in the Euro is run by the ECU electronics. your AC, instruments, auto tranny, VSA, traction control and the accelerator are run by electronics. It is a headache.

You're better off buying an 04 Euro 2nd hand for $20-24k that doesn't have any water damage. :)

still doesn't exclude the possibility of rust on the car

No. If you had any little problem down the road, any remainder of the car's warranty will not cover repairs because of the prior water damage. You might as well buy an 03 with low kms then if you don't care about warranty.
