Got a 07 Civic sport, and don't quite like the sound of stock horn...
Thinking of replacing it with dual tone horn from say Accord Euro.

So the question is, would it be direct swap or do I need to modify the wiring and all?

Havent heard of people replacing the horn, but cant imagine it being that difficult.

That being said, how often are you using it that you are that concerned?!?! I could count on two hands the number of times that I used on my last car (which I owned for 7 years).

not concerned, but annoyed.

true, you don't get to use it much, but when I have a chance to use it I want it to sound, well better than puny beep beep...

hardly use my horn but if I need to, it better be noticeable. Hence I replaced mine with a Stebel Nautilus.

to go from a pissy single horn to a pair of aftermarket dual tone horns you should wiring up the relay that comes with the kit. Mounting will be different to esp with the extra horn but I'm sure you'll find a place to mount it.

it was one of the first changes i made when i got my Sport.

the best types are the dual tone types that resemble two shell's as opposed to the trumpet style.

Fiaam and Bosch examples sound just like those units found on the european models and can be found for about $45. just as loud too.

Installation is simple but for best results requires that you remove the front bumper. Mine is located just next to the right hand side (looking at the car) fog light. All you need to do is wire up both horns togather, connect to the wire that goes to the stock horn (obviously you disconnect the stock horn) and ensure the horns are grounded properly. To be extra safe you could upgrade the fuse and use a relay but i didnt and mine has operated faultlessly for the past 12months.

theres nothing worse than beeping out to your mates with your tough sport and having a panzy hyundai getz horn

cant be difficult maybe a change of spade terminals thats about it only 2 wires running to a horn nothing scarious

Sure! Please explain your setup.. I have abssolutely no idea on how aftermarket horns work; apart from the fact that they aren't very expensive because I remember seeing them for sale in Malaysia (Bosch and various other brands).

Guys

My mate is selling his brand new Stebel Nautilus air Compact.
This one is quite loud 139dB and sounds good.

Will suit Civic, I have one on mine in the right hand corner behind the bumper (looking at the car)
