hey guys few basic questions
New setup building being D16z6 Block (us spec) + D16y8 Head. Alittle bit stuck on when ARP Head studs to use? are both the z6 and y8 heads the same? or do you go with a y8 or z6 head stud?
Also Looking at a dizzy from a z6 for my y8 head. Should this mount up fine and be able to time no probs?
Thats about it for now. Thanks in advance
Regards Lyle

Z6 == OBD1
Y8 == OBD2
different!!!
What ECU you running?
"Have fun hacking and halfassing your D16Z6 distributor onto the Y8 head . . .
do it the easy way and get a D15b7 Distributor... OBD1 = no wiring issues and
bolts directly to the y8 head"
Which ARP's. Not sure. I seem to remember you gotta use from both sets.
uhh lets see!
you need either:
7 Z6 head bolts and the Y8 head bolt in the vtec solenoid area
or
7 Y8 headbolts and a Z6 headbolt where the vtec solenoid area is
i cant remember which is which, search, you'll find it

Also, save yourself legal grief and run your current block.
Emissions rules mean you gotta run same or newer engine.
There's not that much difference between blocks.
Nick.
woops!
Formatting has disappered and it looks like my quoting has been removed.
Note: I cut n' pasted most of this.
