Hi,

Guess what i'm about to ask what brand of coilover is good/reasonable for CD5 ?

thinking of changing my CD5 accord suspension as the current one is going to wear off soon...

my questions is should i get the coilover or just get a lowered spring will do ?
If so what brand should i go for ?

Thanks in advanced, i'm noobie in modding the Accord...

Cheers
Ron

i think ill pass on the d2's from ebay thanks :)

anyway when lowering its always best to do it properly the first time and, althought a good lowered shock/spring combo will work fine, coilovers are preferable. most common for the cd5's seem to be the tein ss (with the adjustability being the big factor). can be ordered from the states, landed and fitted for about $1300 iirc. :)

Tien SS FTW !!! :p but D2 is not too bad .. few of my mates have it on their cars.. never had a problem at all till now.

BC they do make FOR CE1 which is the accord wagon..
it will fit on the front side of our CD but den.. u have to customize the rear... side :p
few others more coilovers for CE1 but not CD :( DAMN!! JAPANESE makers lol...

or u might want o go for Spring + shock combos

TOKICO - adjustbale damper n height
KONI yellow + H&R or Skunk2 coil spring

well is all end up how much u wanna spend. and what kind of rides you want?

if you want a STIFF RIDE till u break ur bones.. try D2 with 12 & 7 spring rates
Tein SS is kinda softer .. 9 & 6 i think i cant remember.

haha u guys think u have no support. think about us CG/CK drivers and getting coilovers downunder. Not going to happen. But in the US, completely different story.

Tein, D2, Function and Form, OmniPower, list goes on... I want coilvers so bad...

However, shock spring combo isnt too bad - konis are readily available. So are springs for the CDs.

hemp .. modified some of the mountings.. thats what i heard...
coz .. the CE1 apparently is taller at the rear..

i was so tempted to buy 1 from japan for 400 bucks

Tein HA or HR i cant remember only done 4000 kms .... but scared it wouldn fit lol..

i did lots of check up .. for the part numbers whether it compatibles or not.. but CD and CE have a different part numbers for the rear.. soo im just clue less and end up didnt buy that.

i even try to EMAIL TEIN but has not got any reply from the for long long time .... =.=

i had tein basic on my cd but were made for ce. went to fulcrum cost me like 150 to custom fit the rear struts. they had to remove the lower mount and make a new 1 to fit my cd
