buying a car in NSW. check car history?

hey guys.

i got a set of engine number and rego etc on this car im looking to purchase. now its in NSW and i am unable to check the car in person so i thought is there a number for me to call up to check the cars history (accidental, finance etc)?

im a lil sus because the seller told me his mother misplaced the log book during house moving. and he also doesnt have the oem front bumper (sold it) and when i asked him about accident, he said he never had one but previous owners might.....anyone want to check out the car for me cos your bored ? lol

revs check will tell you if there is any finance owing or if the car was a repaired write off, but won't tell you about other accidents...its still best to get someone to check it...if its a honda...they may be able to give you the service history if serviced from factory dealership.
