Hi

Does any know how to change the gear knob for euro? The original gear knob is stuck to the boot.

It's a clip on.... If you want to remove the clip as well, you need to cut the zip tie under the shift boot..

No you don't need to, you can unclip the gearknob without taking out the boot, but it will leave you with the ugly coloured clip that holds the OEM gear knob...

So can i ask how do you unclip the knob from the shift boot?
do i just pull it down? or i need to twist the knob? or i have to press something?

Hold the boot part beneath the knob and pull down firmly. It'll come off. Then turn the knob anti-clockwise to remove. If you want to change the part that clips onto the knob, you have to take off the square trim around the shift boot, it is held on by 4 clips, one on each corner.

i think it's under the panel where the shift boot goes. four clip that hold the shift boot to the panel. correct me if i'm wrong

The four clips are at each corner of the boot trim surround, it's sometimes a tight nudge to get off but pull it out straight and you should be fine...

To remove the trim, you grab the boot and pull up. If you put your fingers under the trim and try to pry it out, you risk cracking the trim.

You need a gear knob made for an auto because the Euro still uses a button to release the shift lock. Also, the thread for the auto is larger than that of the manual, so you can't use a manual knob on an auto Euro.
