been running 4-6psi lately and i havnt been thrashing it either.
all was normal until last night. i gave it a little run on the way to my mates house and it was still boosting fine.
after abit of normal driving under boost for an hour or so coming home i realised i dnt hear my bov go off anymore. i downed geared on the highway and gave it gas to see if i could get outa vac and theres no response, it stayed under 0 and i felt no boost, i ddnt hear my turbo spool.
i'll be checking the pipings the next morning .. could it be a crack in the manifold? i've roughly checked and there doesnt seem to be, gona double check again, i also reved it abit to see if i can hear or feel any leaks from the manifold and there doesnt seem to be any, at idle the turbo still spools but its only at idle rate, and as mentioned before the bov doesnt go off no more and theres no spooling when driving.
pretty much in a nut shell im driving like a NA car, the turbo suddenly ddnt want to boost anymore.
if anyone has run into this trouble let me kno.

Check your vacumn lines to your wastegate and charge pipes.

pipings are a b-tch to check but i guess i have no choice. checked the waste gate and all seems fine there. still no sound of spooling no matter wat rev im at. im assuming if there was a leak in the piping , wouldnt the turbo still spool though? still waiting for the number one man DL0o1 to comment :P
stood at the engine bay and rev'd the engine to check for manifold leaks , there was none

Waste gate might be stuck open. That'd stop the turbo from spooling up. Or at least from spooling up properly.

EDIT: Oh, also if it has a ceramic impeller turbine (or even a steel one) your turbine could have shredded itself. It's a common problem with old Toyota ceramic turbos that have been abused. They end up with ceramic dust in their cat converter.

Do you have a boost gauge? Go for a drive and see if you even hit boost. Are you internal or external gate?

BTW.. do you own that red eg hatch ?

yeh i saw u drive past the other day SLOWEGG :), its has the internal wastegate still intack on the turbo, a stuck wastegate might be the problem, how do i check if its stuck open and how can i close it?
yeh i have aboost gauge, drove it jus a second ago while do my lil check ups , still doesnt spool

FOUND THE BUGGER , the damn wastegate was stuck open coz the end of wastegate that connected to the rear housing disconnected, dont know how that actually happen but i put it back on , now its all fine :) thanks to SLOWEGG and Shraka

i'm having the same problem as the original post.
am no longer able to hit boost. Car was workin fine yesterday.
realised this morning after 2 mins of driving that it wasn't boosting.
checked the pin for the internal wastegate and it still seems to be intact.
haven't been able to give it a proper check though, waiting for engine to cool down.

i'm thinking it might be due to the wastegate being stuck open.
any other way of checkin this.?

or anyone have any suggestions.?
