I wanna spray my rocker cover Just checking when i take off my rocker cover when i put it back on does it have to be resealed or is it just bolts?

This is for a K series btw not sure if it makes a difference.

well depending on how old the engine is u might need a new rubber gasket... nnot that expensive anyways and if u wanna be safe then there is this blue silicon that u can buy as well.so it seals tight.

mmm so i'm guessing with a dc5r i wouldn't have to replace the seal on the rocker cover? But for a precaution i should use the silicon to make sure it's tight?

I did this when i rebuilt my concerto's engine but i HAD to replace the gasket so I'm not sure if it's a must for a car that doesn't have any problems / leaks

itll need to be resealed either way..
just get a "Silicone Gasket Maker" from supercheap and squeeze it into the grooves of the cover where the original gasket goes. make sure u do the same thing to the spark plug holes they have a lil rubber gasket too. then press down the rubber gasket (since u replaced it when ur engine was rebuilt i dont think ull need a new one.)
and to the same to the grooves in the block where the gaskets supposed to go. (so that ull have cover, silicone, gasket, silicone, then block)
put em back together, and tighten one bolt at a time and then tighten its opposite bolt.

i think there was a DIY. lemme try find it for u
