if you want the grill for the euro luxury just go to the dealer and buy the sports model version...if you want mugen and all those other grills you have to most likely changed the bumper ...but do a search theres numerous threads on this topic

That probably doesn't include fitting right?

Could I buy the grill on its own from Honda and get someone else to install it?

I have a new Euro bought 2 months ago, and I'm not sure what grill options i have since i heard the mugen one doesn't fit the new ones?

Its a really easy fit, just involves plastic clips, took me about 20 minutes to remove the old one and install the sports grill.

There is a newer mugen grill which fits

If you have an 03-05 Euro, you need the 03-05 Mugen lip.
If you have an 06-07 Euro, you need the 06-07 Mugen lip.

Just a quick one, the sort of equivalent of the Sports grill for the 03-05 model is the Euro R grill, is that right?

And is that available from Honda dealers as an OEM part?

Also, are you able to have this grill without the 'Euro R' badging on it?

question about the sports grille you can buy from dealers...

Is it a straight swap for the cromie and does it use the same clips?
Is there a top trim part or is just the grille and the bottom trim?

I noticed for the EuroR grille you need to either buy a new radiator cover or modify it.

Hey mate,

I got the sports grill on my car too, If you have an 06-07 euro you dont need to worry about that bonnet trim, it replaces the whole chrome grill you have.

Comes with the grill and bottom trim. Use the clips and screws from your chrome grill and its straight bolt on. EuroR badge comes with a backing that you need to screw in to attach the euroR badge to the grill, used the screws from the chrome grill for that also.

It's quite simple to install, makes the car look a lot better. Did it by myself, took about 30-45mins i guess. =)

Hey power_of_dreams,

I got the euro sports grill and with that i didn't have to get the jdm radiator cover. Looks exactly the same as that, not sure if you would need a JDM radiator cover with that euro-r grill but.

The badge can be placed basically anywhere between those gaps you can see. Just need 2 screws to secure the badge to the grill =)

Apparently 06 onwards EuroR grille = sports grille.

I read only pre06 needs the new radiator cover.
Can anybody confirm if a radiator cover is needed if I buy the sports grille from dealership?

Darkii_
21-03-2008, 07:51 PM
You do not need a radiator cover if you buy the sports grill from the dealership. Yes the 06+ euror grill is the same in design as the sports grill.

I can't confirm that if you go out and buy a JDM EuroR grill that the fitment will be the same and you won't need to buy a jdm radiator cover. BUT if you buy the euro sports grill from the dealership, then without a doubt it will fit as is - from experience as i have installed the euro sports grill on my euro tourer.

I have a Euro R Grille (Sports is exactly the same design no Euro R badge obviously) and there was no need to replace the grille top cover at all. It all went back together perfectly. There are often problems reported here and O/S about gaps not being quite right with Mugen and other brands.

Badge it for sure. IMO it looks heaps better. You can also get a matching Euro R badge for the boot lid off e-Bay for about $23 USD and about $5 USD postage. Take the Euro badge off from beside the Accord Badge and placve the Euro R badge down lower (plenty of photos of Euro R's around to get the right spot). I'm most likely going to get rid of my Accord badge as well and just have the Euro R.

same way as you remove your top clips find the side where you need to stick your screwdriver in, then stick your hand downwards inside of the bumper with a screw driver to pop it out.

I used a small standard screwdriver but you could use anything short with a flat blade and I just used it to push on the tip of the "plunger" part of the the clips from the bottom and that just pushed them up thru the outer "core" part and released them.

took off the bumper attached the clips, etc. then noticed I had forgotten to screw the color coded surrounding to the grill. decided I wasn't going to take off the full bumper again and decided to pry the clips with the bumper still on. That took ages but eventually I got there. Destroyed a couple of clips and decided to just plug whatever fitted via trial and error. Everything worked out pretty good in the end and I am pleased with the end result! Pictures to follow soon...

Hi guys,

This is my first post. Great forum here. Lots of good information to be found and a great community.

I know this is a thread revival as well, but I don't want to create a new thread for nothing.

I have a 06 Euro Luxury and want to change my grill to the optional sport grill.

I'm pretty sure for the 03 to 05 euros, the sport grill came in a few pieces.

Does the sport grill for the 06 to 08 come in one piece?

And does anyone have a part number for it?

Any help will be appreciated!

Cheers guys!
