So yah.. bought Injen intake and installed.. Sounds great but it hasn't improved the power performance.... less power then the original intake.. i think...
I think for me to get full power i have to get full exhaust system..??

whats the intake look like?
is the air filter exposed (ie. not in a boxed-in arrangement)?

/me have no idea what this intake looks like.

Hmmm, Sounds interesting that you haven’t felt any more get up and go.
The INJEN are supposed to be 1 of the best you could get?
Maybe your just expecting too much:o

can't really rely on bum dyno for power changes by intake alone...freeing up the exhaust should get the most out of your intake aswell

as kn1ghtm4r3 has stated if your looking for some power gains its good to start up with upgrading your I/H/E and to answer your questions yeah a full exhaust would be good..

Once you get a cat back system, you should notice difference.. although as stated.. you need to buy headers and an exhaust system.!

Make sure! try get a dyno before and after :D

n00b Q here but is Injen the only brand which replaces the existing air filter cover? I was always under the impression that you had to drill holes or something permenant to hook up an aftermarket air intake.

MUGEN ones are enclosed

MUGEN ones are enclosed

Sorry for being n00b but what's that word mean in this context? "enclosed"? I'm assuming it means similar to the Injen where it replaces the stock components but can be swapped back later on.

Shall investigate. I don't think the current Mugen one really counts since it looks like a drop in panel filter.

Maybe with a bit more time and interest/demand, Injen and various other companies will start producing more parts for my Civic. Would rather not do a DIY job since I'm not very technically inclined.

enclosed pretty much means that the filter is not exposed in the engine bay...like this pic

coz at times the filte draws in hot air and end up at a loss...

there's still gains to be had even if its not a pod...
if its a real mugen panel filter im guessin its still going to be a more flowing material than stock ones...

and again...here's a pic of a panel filter with the airbox slightly modded for cooler air...

Without looking at the specs, would you consider the Mugen panel filter on the Mugen Civic website to be any better than my drop-in K&N filter which I've already installed? I'm under the impression that whilst they may improve air flow, that they wouldn't improve it that much to make it noticeable... hence why I doubted the Mugen drop-in would do much more than my current K&N.
