question about 02 civic hatch

hey guys!!!!!

recently ive been really wanting a 02 civic hatch (i have no idea why.. but i just do)

anyway i had a look at some pics and the gearstick (manual only obviously)

looks like it's kinda almost on the dash..

just wondering does it feel weird to drive when its like that?

Thats sort of common now with newer hatches.. the new corolla hatch is like that with the gear stick pretty much coming out of the bottom of the dash.. looks kinda funky, but no I've never driven one of those.

its easy to drive and fun
For me its like driving any other manual car.
imo when you change gear it will faster then other manual car.

Yeah its fine and you'll get used to it.. No difference really and the car is very easy to drive... nice and comfortable too.

my friend recently bought one.
It looked funny to me but after driving it, i actually prefer it a little bit higher than my ek4.

It sits higher than a conventional floor layout. Looks weird but when you are driving you dont have to reach down to it. Its almost like playing a game at timezone.....if you get my drift.

Yup I own a Vi. Gearstick position is great!, right next to the steering wheel. Very ergonomical becuz u wont have to reach far to shift therefore reduces anger in traffic :cool:

it is designed so that its closer to the steering wheel, therefore its faster to reach the gear stick/more efficient.

Hey Nikki,

ive got a 2003 Vi, the gear shifter is up a lot higher placed closer to the steering wheel and is more ergonomic...it feels great having it next to you...
