Hi everyone,

I'm in the process of doing some major engine changes. I've spoken to a few different people and all have had different opinions. I currently have a B16A2 in my 94 CRX but i want to do something different. People tell me to keep it standard, some say slap on a turbo, others say a type r. Even type r turbo is something i want aswell.

Hopefully this post can give me some opinions of everyone else. thanks

Do what you want to do.....

Other than that, I would choose Type R Turbo... ha ha...! :p

Boost the B16A2, you'll get great results with that.

It really depends on what you like, what the car is for... etc etc.

I say sell it and buy a car with a turbo in it already, no point going through so much headache fitting a turbo + this + that + blah blah blah when there are tons of turbo'ed cars on the market within price range after you sell the CRX
unless you want to be different....

Shadou. Its a very fun exercise to fit a turbo setup. Even if you have limited mechanical knowledge, with a bit of research and patience you can have the time of your life seeing it come together.

Like stress, headaches are something that can be avoided and are self producing. Unless your unwell of course. ;)

i guess its not cheap to be different from the rest...

an fc rx7 would be good...change it to front mount and high flow it...

i vote sell the car. if you are relying on other to tell you what to do, you obviously have no idea.

ok action man Ken, its not about knowing what to do..its about finding out what other people's past experience with this matter is and what would others do in my position.

Have a look through the FI forums mate,
Alot of members with their FI Hondas have posted up their results, their woes etc.
It should be more than enough for you to generate your own opinion on the matter.

Also, it would help knowing ur budget!

Keep it N/A. Turbo is good for power gains but Naturally aspirated is more fun to drive.

Have you ever thought about h22a in a CRX? its something different.

B20's are good as well, dont think any1 had done one yet in a gen3 crx.

i guess it depends on what you want from your car and if its a daily driver or if you want something that will just be for fast 1/4mile times

i like the idea of just a straight b18c7 swap. will be easy to sell off in the future and would be reliable and still pretty fun to drive everyday
