Hi guys,
my cars only done 36 000km. Its an 05 manual. Ive noticed in the last month its getting stick, notchy, stiff in the upshifts and down shifts.
Do you think i should book it for a warranty job or try changing the manual tranny fluid first?
Or maybe the clutch needs adjustment? Im not hard on the clutch, very kind actually. So im at a bit of a loss. Appreciate any comments.

your always on late at night!
sounds like it might be out of alignment... but considering youur easy on the gears, maybe just the fluid needs changing, canberra weather is pretty harsh on auto fluids!

Fluid change may fix it otherwise it sounds like a simple adjustment of the clutch.

Should the dealer adjust the clutch under warranty?

If its not a synchro problem, then an MTF oil change may help. Use Honda MTF and nothing else.

OK I spoke to the service manager. The clutch is hydraulic so theres no adjustment so ive been told.
i also told him about my whiiiine issue and they are going to seriously look at it next week. Hopefully we are all good.
Im getting a new set of keys as well its 330 ouch!

Change your MTF!!!! I had the same problem. Difficult to get out of 1st and into 2nd, even with the clutch pressed down early and all the way. MTF change fixed that straight away. Get the new MTF 06.
I change mine every 20,000km.

Copy that. I will get them to change it regardless of what the with the whine is. Dunno what they charge but I need it.

The dealer will probably charge anywhere from $150-220.

Even if it is done at a place like Ultratune, they will charge about $120-130.

aaronng is correct - honda quoted me $160 for them to change mine...
so i just purchased the MTF for $41 and did it myself :D

^^ yup, I do it myself as well. As long as you have a good floor jack, 4 jackstands, an oil tray, a 3/8" drive ratchet and a 17mm (or was it 19) spanner, you can do it.
