hello

Q1. Will a dizzy from a manual work on a auto ?

Q2. Will a dizzy from a ZC work on a D16A8 ?

Q3. What other dizzies work with a D16A8 ??

The reason for the questions, I have an oil leak via a big dirty score on the main shaft in the dizzy!!

Cheers and back to the wine

Paul

Ps do you know anyone selling a gen 5 prlude vti r ( un modded)

Q1 Yes

you can get sleevs to go over the damaged part of the shaft. makes it seal again.

Q2 - a ZC dizzy.....as i assume u mean the [acronym:9953e1ff9a="Double Overhead Cam"]DOHC[/acronym:9953e1ff9a] blacktop ZC found in Japan - to the best of my basic knowledge will fit onto a D16a8 engine...and work. Maybe some issues with timing etc ?!?

Q3...best only to think along the lines of " what God gave it at birth" methinks here.....
Only "ZC" style engines would have the capability to be in similar /same timing for our local D16a8. Such as older integras - some Rovers , EG5's in Oz and Japan . But the older CRX D16a8 i believe just dosent work with the newer series engine.
Soem one who knows for sure please....

I take it a good mechanic will know about the sleeves!!

I presume that it will be cheaper than buying a dizzy from the wreckers ;)

Cheers

A good Mech Shop or Auto electrician should know about them. it will work out cheaper to sleeve it than get one from a wreckers. unless you get a bargain.
