Engine Swap Question

Hey guys,


I heard that for an Engine Swap the engine has to be the equivalent age or newer than the chasis ?

is this true and how come?

its ok to do a engine swap if the capacity is the same as the stock one. i think? other wise u will have to get it engineered. ?

not true. engineswaps which have a change in capacity greater than 15% will require a engineers certificate.

to the original poster - yes. true. you cannot put an older (year model engine) in your car

Yea i'm pretty sure thats true, due to emissions laws, or something like that..
