cat-back exhaust systems?

hey guys?... I was just wonderin what the best cat-back exhaust system would be for an civic 1993 vti, that isnt too expensive????

pay an exhaust shop 300 and u'll get a catback in 2.25". u wont get power, u will just get noise. AN exhaust is an exhaust, the only 'best' part comes from fitiment and bending.
if u go a jap brand, expect to pay 500+

www.yellowpages.com.au , or pull out a local business directory. Locate all the exhaust specialists in your area and pay a visit in person or have a chat with them on the phone. Tell them what you want, ask any questions you may have and get a quote. Usually the friendliest/patient/most helpful and knowledgeable sounding dudes are the ones to give your business to. :)
Or you could just take it to Livo/Fussy's....

why do you say no power gain? even with CAI?

noise level is depends on the type of muffler u choose....for a vti....$300 i think is a good price.....since u r not vtir.....dont need to spend big dollar to get tiny more horsepower gain from buying a nice import one.....but i'd suggest u save a bit more to buy 4-2-1 header together....that my opinion......cause i go through that process last year~ ^_^

why do you say no power gain? even with CAI?

inreasing diameter of inlet and outlets of an stock engine will not increase HP....only to move the torque curve slightly up or down....
and ofcourse increase noise.

I think what he meant was that if you do a cat back, you won't see any gains because your headers and collector are still a restricion.
