i was changing my rocket cover and i was tightening the nut and i think i did it too tight and i snapped it so im missing one rod. but its actually snapped all the way down to the rocket cover. would this be a problem? oil leaks etc.

any b series cover will fit

its more for prettyness than anything

do you mean you snapped one of the inner bolts that hold down the spark plug cover?

yeah, you know the metal part where u screw the bolts on.

yeah...I broke the thread on mine too just like you...ages ago...and the thread on the other one was screwed....

I don't know how hard it is to change...but doesn't cost much to get the replacement bits.

i broke mine too, go to honda spare parts in your local area. they're like 2 bucks each or something.

in regards to replacing it, you need to take off the whole rocker cover (i.e. four outter bolts) as well as your spark plug cover. then just get a socket set and unbolt the base of the broken stud and replace with new one.

yeah...I broke the thread on mine too just like you...ages ago...and the thread on the other one was screwed....

I don't know how hard it is to change...but doesn't cost much to get the replacement bits.

did you get yours fixed? and where? thanks.

well i just got my engine re-conditioned. pm destrukshn for part costs and he should be able to point you in the right direction

Be sure NOT to ask for a ROCKET cover stud the parts guy will be confused because Honda doesn't make rockets. What you need is a ROCKER or VALVE COVER stud.
