vtir burning a bit of oil

as the post says my vtir is burning oil,, but i am yet to see any smoke........latly ive been driving it pretty hard....could that B Why???

hard to say, if you go on a big cruise, the PVC system on the engine will burn all the crap out of the oil. thus changing oil level or you have a bad oil leak, or you need to get someone to follow you when you drive to see if it is burning oil.

well my gsi burns a little oil when i give it a good thrashn and im using 5-40

how many kms have you done?

its maybe the oil your using could be too thin, but its not unusual for your car to burn a bit oil, but if your consuming alot of oil your probably using oil thats too thin, and you might want to go to a thicker grade on your next oil change
