Hey guys,
Just wondering has any experienced those ebay turbo kits before on there cars? Those kits seem very tempting as everything is needed for the turbo setup. Does any know any downfalls for them?

Cheers

ahh mate this question has been asked sooo many times

there is ALOT of junk floating around on ebay. Dont buy unless they are proven quality, that dont fail and give results!! Stay away from Cheap polished shiny stuff. Especially XSPower and SSAC. Stuff like Full Race, Edlebroke, Greddy arnt bad. But seriously just consider pieceing together your own kit. All you need is your basic list of parts (which you can find by searching!!) and can source it mostly in australia!

good luck mate

Regards Lyle

That AVO kit is for a Civic...needs some modification for DC2?

Sold anyway. Try a brand new kit fitted and tuned from

www.avoturboworld.com :P They had a nice special going on...

how bout get the parts that doesnt matter much off ebay. eg, u can go ebay for IC piping, bov, fmic. but as for the turbo, i'd jus get something decent like a nissan turbo :D T3, T28's, GT28RS heaps out there. and for the manifold, up to u, u can use ebay manifolds for abit and change to a better one later on.

a lesson for a turbo from ebay, i braught a t3/4 to for my r32 about 4 years ago it was cheap at the time and i thaught great i braught spend alot more money customising the setup. first run made great power!!! but the 3rd run sheared the rear wheel off the shaft!!!! hahaha not cool:thumbdwn: it had warrenty had to send it back and get rebuild never installeld it again INSTEAD went and got a custom built ATP turbo never looked back.
IMO you get what you pay for learn from my mistakes! lol:wave:

thats pretty much what you get in the ebay kits anyway but a ebay turbo instead of a nissan turbo, would be cheaper to buy it as a kit then individually
