quick question.

When u start car on cold start ? does it idle fine ?

Only becomes jumpy WHEN you start driving ?

And goes away once car warms up?

Or is it constant whole time ?

Well my problem was the thermostat .

Mine started fine on Idle. Once i started driving around and came to a stop the car idle would jump up n down.

Changed the thermostat now its all good.

Other reccomendations other ozhonda members have tried is cleaning ur TB and IACV ? Done that yet ?

i had the same problem, i top up more water to the radiator and i fix the problem.
Try adding more coolant to the radiator

Definately change your coolant.I recommened taking it to a Honda dealer and get them to do a power flush.Well worth the money since it's never been changed. They will use Honda coolant. While your at it power steering and brake fluid flush too :)

yeah will definately get coolant changed. and i just wanna know if you can buy a new IACV, coz i rang the hond dealership near work and he said they dont sell spares for the throttle body and he tried to charge me $2000 for a new one.

$2000 for a IACV thats a but too much haha, If you can be bothered go down to your nearest wreckers and see if you can find a new IACV theres plenty of D series motors at the wreckers so plenty of options of choosing one in better conidtion and lower k's

ps and it wont cost you more than $50 imo

nah $2000 for the whole throttle body assembly, but already sourced the throttle body cheap.

you do realise that probably wont fix your problem - the part circled is the TPS ( throttle position sensor) and cant easily be removed from the throttle body. Have you tried cleaning out the throttle body with carby cleaner and a tooth brush ? Might be a build up of excess carbon around the throttle and sensor ports and might be mucking up the signal.

Try the cheap/free things first :)

yeah done that as posted earlier. when i rang the guy about the throttle body he asked why it was playin up i told him what it did and he said it was the iacv because he has seen it quite a few times before in this model car.
