0-100 KMH times

Hi im new to these forums. I thinking about getting on of these models, 94-95, Anyone know the times to the LS and GSi. ive seen that the LS and GSi are 7.6 seconds approximately. If not, what are they?

i'd put them in the 8 - 9 second bracket i reckon.

my ED civic dual carb was advertised to do 0-100 in 9.2s

when we tried it... it was more like 12-13s...

bit hard to tell coz these cars are over a decade old...plus mods make a difference...

yeah sometimes i think they're wind assisted or possibly even down hil!!!

yeah...even fuel milage advertised are bias compared to normal driving...

like highway milage are tested at 77-83km/h optimum efficiency...whereas we usually drive 90-110 and as far as fuel usage goes, a car uses twice as much fuel travelling at 100 than it does at 80k's

Are you sure? My car gets around 420 when I travel on motorway at around 100-120, and I honestly can't envisage it will get 800+ km if I travel at 80km/h...

but serious note, i remember reading off the monthly NRMA magazine ages ago when fuel prices started reaching the $1.30/L point...a car travelling 80km/h uses twice as much fuel as a car travelling 100km/h

from what i remember the car that the experiment was based on were the new corollas...

had things like having right tyre pressure can save u up to %10 on fuel...

a list of tips to save on petrol...

i cant really get a vtec cos im a student, dont have enough money. i dont think travelling 20kms different can have a huge effect on fuel consumption, especially with the high reving integras. It was more or less a general question about 0-100, and i think adding on 1-1.5 seconds is appropriate, adding on about 4 wouldnt be... oh well thanks anyways

if the commodore is automatic you will win. unless you cant drive.

sure the LS doesnt have much power, but it also doesnt have much weight. so when you have not much weight + average power + very stick tyres, you can still have fun. plus commodores with slushbox transmissions arent exactly fast. the torque gives the illusion that they are fast, but its just that - an illusion, they feel quick but in reality they arent.

sit in a 200sx, then in an integra type r. the 200sx feels faster coz of the torque, but the type r pulls faster times. same deal with ur holden

:thumbsup:well said. not the case for the 200sx, but it certainly is with the holden, power drops off significantly more as the cutout/redline approaches compared any sort of teg, which makes good power in the upper rev ranges.

I was the starter of this thread, asking a question about the "Integra LS". Did i say anything about comparing the LS to a VS? If you can talk about the VS, they can talk about 200SX's and Skylines. :)
