I would honestly sell ur car and buy a manual one... the car is still relatively new, and i really think ull have a hell of a time selling it later when people know uve been mucking about with it...

^ As above, dont bother.
Waste of money, time and effort.
Easier and cheaper to sell up and buy a manual.
just sell it and get a manual..
not worth the time and $

As above, big upside is you might find one with lower k's and possible better condition than the one you've owned.

i was in a similiar situation to you where i would like to convert mine to manual
if u no ur car is perfect, low km's, perfect interior/exterior, then go ahead with it...
BUT
it can be costly with the dc5 if u bolt up the manual gearbox, ull need a new ecu and cluster aswell, in addition to all the other obvious parts :)
im interested in doing the opposite atm, and bolting a k20a2 from a type r to the auto box, any1 got any info on that?

sell the car. get yourself a manual dc5. easy! could've saved yourself the trouble and bought a manual to begin with!

Reason why people are saying no, it is simply because unless you can get the parts real cheap and you can fit and wire the majority of it, there is absolutely no pros in the conversion. Unless that is you have a really done up engine (internally)....etc.....
Also if you sit down and do the maths, it will certainly cheaper in the long run to sell and buy a manual.
Think about it, gathering the parts I would guess it to be between 2k - 3k. Depending on the parts, like type of clutch, 5spd - 6spd gearbox...etc
Then labour on top of that. Then your still left with the interior trim, auto cluster, electronics, time off the road.....etc.....etc.....
Trust me and everyone else here that if it is not an option stick with the auto. Saves you lots of time and $$$

give teh guy a chance
maybe he wants to keep his car
ive done the conversion and never regretted it
but the time and the amount of money it toke was pretty shocking
i think it toke about 2 months
and i had to soure out a new cluster and ecu teh hardest thing to source was the centre console
i wouldnt say i would go through it all over again
BUT i have never once regretted it
plus my auto box was brolen so i was up for a rebuild anyway

if your car has done a lot of kays and wont get you much if you sell it, then i reckon you should save up a bit and get a K20A2/K20Z half cut and install that. i reckon it'll cost you about $8,000 all up including the cluster...
sometimes that aint an option buddy
Should have thought about that before you grew a penis and realized you want a manual.

did you ever think that as he said he it actually wasn't an option to get a manual... I have an auto daily driver and if i had the choice it would be manual... the fact is it got given to me for free... thus I didn't have a choice... what am I going to say "sorry I have a penis so I can't accept your generosity"... think about what you're saying...
you have no idea what the reason is behind why prusso got an auto... and if you read the quote above yours he hasn't decided to get a manual... he's talking about changing the engine...
