Don't know if this has been posted before, but I'll post anyway.

Translation:
The Title reads "Emphasizing on cornering improvement". The 2nd line reads "Honda's face-lifted version of DC5"
Basically the article can be translated as follows:
The Honda DC5 has been well-accepted among the enthusiasts since it was debuted in July, '01. But after 3 years, following Japanese car makers' common practice, the exterior needs to be updated. Therefore in the upcoming September, DC5 is coming out with a face-lifted version. On the exterior, the head-lights, tail-lights and the front grill will get minor changes. Besides that, the major update is on the suspension to improve its drivability, making it more responsive. The power still comes from the original K20A with [acronym:c074ecb49d="Horse Power"]HP[/acronym:c074ecb49d] and TQ unchanged..

I reckon it looks ok - not as good as the current one though... I like the idea of the upgrading in suspension. Honda finally doing something good for a change.

i dont think its photoshopped, a facelift is quite normal... looks good besides the frontbar i think, would look better with a ings kit :D

Think i got this from one of them US forums last week.
It really looks photochopped in this pic... Honda wouldn't release such "offical" looking photos if it hasn't been announced publicly.

i believe this integra will be released later this year and will be labelled the "Type S". And may give the "Type R" a run for it's money................possibly having a higher output??? (a little birdie told me)

Hope that's not true...

our old DC5 "type R" was essentially the same tuning as the RSX type S.. so my prediction is that it will be the SAME tuning as our outgoing "type R".. but with all the luxury features of the leather-interior Integra "Luxury"..

the facelift photos IMO are prob real, but I am not a fan of the headlights and tails.. the 'old' DC5's lights were very tasty.. I dot mind the new front bumper though..

I really can't appreciate people calling the AUS DC5R a Type-S or tuned as the same as the Type-S, the fact of the matter is that it IS A Type-R just not the Jap Spec.

my sources tell me that the new "type S" may disappoint some existing "type R" owners.............

Sorry Ian, but in what perspective?

Sorry - I reckon there is only one true Type R and that is jap spec. The facelift looks alright - it's growing on me - but do you guys find that the front lights like similar to a couple of other Hondas?

Such as? The face-lifted Civic? Yeah, kinda...

Even if the DC5 face-lift brings it in line, or at least similiar, with other models in the line-up, it's understandable. Look at Audi for e.g. The A6 has that weird looking grille which Audi is making it's 'trademark'. The new A3 also has a similar front grille, and the soon to be released face-lifted A4 will too, have the same grille.

Perhaps Honda are trying to give their cars a 'trademark' front end, just like the Audi's mentioned above and the Beemer 'kidney' grille?

then you might as well say the only true 'Honda's' are the Jap Spec, and all else is I don't know what you wanna call it? replicas? fake? that's just ignant...

I think some people had difficulty reading the "r" perhaps they are blinded by all this aus jdm shit, and only have a one track mind that thinks if it aint jdm it just is a fake. Ahh well everyone can't be perfect....
Not to say I am but at least I can read a badge on a car and notice it as aus spec type r and not a s....

hmm..in terms of the new Type S...how can it be better on the track if it doesn't have LSD for starters??
not mentioning a weaker chassis due to the sunroof...

but anyway..this new facelifted dc5 totally doesn't make sense..
you would not go backwards (cutting out the curves in the headlights and tail lights) in terms of manufacturing...

It looks less agressive?

I'm not sure if Jun has their hands on a new DC5, or if they are designing their bumper to cater for the new model (it doesnt have the 2 round cut-outs on the bumper side of the headlights) or if the JUN bumper just doesnt have those cut-outs.. ?

Too me..it doesn't look as agressive as the first edition of the DC5.
