borrowing your thread for abit tegra88!

just wondering when a sump needs to be replaced? does it start rusting or have leaks?

Leaking.
Or because you ripped the shit out of it cos your car is dumped.
Or you're upgrading to Mugen Oil Pan with baffle.

No too hard. Advantage if you have access to a car hoist.

Drain oil
Take off secondary headers
take off flywheel cover or brackets
Undo all 10mm bolts
Clean sump surface with degreaser
Apply new sump gasket
Add some sealent on each corner (read the honda manual where it goes actually)
Bolt it back up with very little torque
And do everything elese like mention above.

Really don't have to let it dry. Maybe give it an hr.

nah best to let the gasket cure for at least 3 hours at best a whole day, just the way I do it. You will get oil dripping all over the floor and shit so make sure you have plenty of rags and something to cover the floor beneath the sump
