hi

Ive dropped my transmission , and replaced the ISB following a few guides on the net. IVe put it all back together - and the gearbox is in one piece.
Problem is , when i turn the input shaft by hand it is very hard to even move.

IT changes gears fine.

What could i have missed ?!? or misaligned ?

PS the circlip on the countershaft was alittle difficult to get on

plz reply !

I also share your problem since i have done a full tranny rebuild (syncros, gear selectors, bearings) it is one piece now but i have not put any MT Fluid in it yes and it is also hard to move by hand. have you put fliud in it yet? Have you put all the shifter back together?

is it in N when you trying to turn it.

was in in N before.

anyway in all gears you shold be able to turn the shaft by hand,

- are you sure you have torqued the housign down properly.
- where all the shafts lined up coreclyly when you put the top housing on.
- did you insert the ISB in all the way ?

i had this problem once too guys on a B i built a while back , turned out i left out the bottom spring washer off the base of the input shaft. That .5mm clearance made a difference. 1 hr later all good :)
