Gday,

I jumped my [acronym:3d2c4b7ab9="Engine Control Unit"]ECU[/acronym:3d2c4b7ab9] today and it threw 3 codes.

10. IAT Sensor (intake air temperature)
12. EGR Lift sensor (exhaust gas recirculation)
20. Electrical Load Detector

I was wonder wat the Electrical Load Detector is related to? and any tips on where to start looking to fix this problem.

ELD is in the alternator & charging system,

do you have a big sound system? sometimes this can trip it...

does not affect performance...

dont forget to clear the codes by removing the [acronym:2636b6f9a1="Engine Control Unit"]ECU[/acronym:2636b6f9a1] fuse or disconnecting the battery for a few minutes

I have an accord, with a jdm h22.

i might try resetting the [acronym:e8309ab79a="Engine Control Unit"]ECU[/acronym:e8309ab79a].

regards.

are you sure its code 10 not 1 was it a long palse or a quick one, do you have a [acronym:ad4ae85b03="Japanese Domestic Market"]JDM[/acronym:ad4ae85b03] fues box. the [acronym:ad4ae85b03="Japanese Domestic Market"]JDM[/acronym:ad4ae85b03] fues box has the ELD coil sensor in it. AU fues box does not.

that would be why i get ELD as well then. The CEL being on is annoying, but otherwise it doesnt seem to affect anything.

yeh it be error code 20- ELD i get the same with my jdm h22a accord. I also get code 12 EGR.

U might have a busted IAT or the wiring might not be correct as if i remember correctly, the IAT is one of the wires on the loom that has to be lengthened when doin the swap.

Basically, the ELD is for [acronym:38afe3f929="US Domestic Market"]USDM[/acronym:38afe3f929] and [acronym:38afe3f929="Japanese Domestic Market"]JDM[/acronym:38afe3f929] cars. When we put a [acronym:38afe3f929="Japanese Domestic Market"]JDM[/acronym:38afe3f929] ecu in an [acronym:38afe3f929="Australian Domestic Market"]AUDM[/acronym:38afe3f929] car the ecu thinks the ELD is malfunctioning.

It could be the EGR error code that has something to do with my fuel consumption.

gday mate,

yeh i followed in ur footsteps. My EGR aint connected either...car is running really rich, but with the wolf3d to be put in soon, that problem should be overcome.

so i shouldnt worry about this ELD problem?

yeh i'd better recheck some of my added wiring.

just outta interest how much km u rekon u get on a full tank.

yeh, i would like to get the EGR stuff conected but the wiring for it looks very complex.

Nup, i wouldnt worry bout this ELD problem.

im getting about 400km out of a tank if i really try. But usually it drinks it and im empty by 350km. On the hwy its good, will do like 700km to a tank.

I assume other than these minor probs your car is going sweet now. How cool is it watching the tacho swing around to 8 grand hehehe
