i have a honda civic EG3, i was told(lied) by the seller that it is a 1.5 version, before i bought this car, i have no idea about honda except NSX. it is not EFI either, i was so angry after i got it and found that out. now this car is HELL SLOW. i heard from my friend that he got a EK GLi engine into his EG, so i come up with the idea of converting it. i was deciding if i should go for b16 or b18. but the thing is that not only it costs heaps, but also no one really wanna convert from non EFI to EFI, even i said i would pay like 2k to install the engine, yet people refuse me. so does anyone know where i can convert my slowest civic in WA?!~

no one wants to do a conversion for 2k? or u want an engine and installation for 2k ?

im pretty sure u can get a conversion done for 2k = labour

cost of parts is seperate ...

if i was you id be lookin at bout 4.5 - 5k for parts + installation ...

theres tons of threads about this

thats alot of $$$. hell most would do the conversion for that price. sell your car and buy one with a b-series alredy done.

$2k is a rip off mate.
theres pro's out there who have completed this swap in a day.

Just my opinion.
4.4k is a hell of alot for a b16a too, what year and model is it out of??
All stock EG civics are slow IMO. They were built for economy.

Carb -> EFI conversion, when swapping in an EFI engine all you need is an EFI tank, EFI lines and a EFI underdash wiring harness (fusebox inc). DO some research and find out what these parts are worth. Shouldnt cost a whole heap extra in labour. Maybe parts + labour an extra $1k +/-??

Whatever you decide, good luck.

Pricing for conversion. $1000 parts/fit for EFi conversion, plus $500-$1000 to install engine, and whateva the B16a engine conversion cost.

Just send the car interstate :).

If your not mechanically minded then yes sell it and buy a b16a EG.

If you know how to do things, or like to learn then go for the conversion. Its all about having fun and learning in the process. Goodluck with it.
