oh, i'm also talking about stock em1 and ek4 suspension.

i.e. if i replaced my standard ek4 suspension with standard em1 suspension, would it be exactly the same height, higher or lower?

Yes they are identical.

EK1, EK4, EM1 EJ8 are all the same

All come from the same family. The only one that is different is the EK9

correct me if im wrong

EK9 shocks and springs set up : different spring rate to EK4 and EM1 , better shocks...slightly lower in height too

ek4 = s04
ek1 hatch = s03
ek1 sedan = s04

oh so the spring rates and height of ek1's and ek4 shocks/springs are identical?

interesting..woulda thought the ek4 ones wouldve been slightly lower and stiffer than the ek1's.

spring rates are NOT the same...

height wise they not the same. but diff is not that noticeable
