Car is blowing out alot of black smoke on WOT

I find my car is blowing out alot of black smoke when i'm giving it a hit.

Car (EK4) is pretty much stock with an aftermarket catback.

Would anyone be able to diagnose such a problem?

my understanding is that when you modify the motor's ability to move air ie exhaust/intake it changes the air fuel requirement, and the ecu compensates by richening up the mixture. The black smoke your seeing is the unburnt fuel.

Honda's do generally run rich up top to compensate for the high rpm operation. If its black dont worry about it too much... ive only got an intake and i know mine blows black smoke... i dont particularly like it, but i'd rather have an operating engine :-)
