1.jump into the car.
2. make sure instructor is seated and buckled up
3. turn on engine
4.signal left/right
5.put it in gear 1
6. look around to check your free to go
7.drop the handbrake

AM I RIGHT? I NEED SOME HELP :P i so cannot be "Fu"kd" to get a instructor and pay them $45 an hour if i know how to drive the stupid car properly. rather put it into petty money or something! some help would be great, also some tips and tricks would be great too! im going for my P's 4th oct on my birthday YAY! at ingleburn =)

What ever you do, dont speed. To make things easier for yourself, if possible choose a time of day when its not busy on the roads.

Read the Handbook for what the examiner will be looking for, be confident but not eager ;)

If you're a nervous wreck, you're more than likely to blow it, the examiner will see right through you.

Be strong and don't let the pressure get to ya, I passed it first go @ Parra with a tough examiner.

did my test at ingleburn too.
one of the easiest place to do it. hardly any cars on the road when i did my test.! just the ones parked on the side. lol

Did mine a few years back but if they still take u through the same course. Be careful around that area which goes past the shops. Speed limit is like 5 or 10km/h. so hard to keep the car travelling at that speed.! lol

dude the best thing to do is u get urself a lesson from an instructer. he or she will tell you the trick of the trade and this way u wont have to worry about if ur doing it right or wrong.

the lessons are on like 45 bux and if u get one from ur area he/she will show you the route u go wen u actually do the test.

better be safe that sorry. would rather spend 45 on an istructer rather than failing and payin another 150 to do the test again. . .

hope that helps

yeh thats true.. 1 lesson is always enough jst tell em u want them 2 treat it like the actual exam.. 1 hour is plenty considering actual test only like 20 or so minutes depends on how u drive

1. put da key in ignition switch
2. turn key to acc
3. turn up da stereo
4. put da seats all da way back and seat belts on
5. chuck sunnys on
6. start engine
7. rip a burnout on 1st gear
8. pull da handbrake when turning at each corner or while ur driving straight at 80km/h
9. u should pass 100%

don't speed, remember to stop at stop signs (duhh but some people forget) and look in the direction of travel - i.e. if you're reversing to look over your left shoulder

Make sure you also have your seatbelt on too .. :)

and don't forget to signal out of all roundabouts as you are leaving, you'll lose points for that - even if its a tiny suburban roundabout

When I did my P's test a year ago it was pretty easy. I stalled twice and still passed! Just make sure you act like you're really confident (but not cocky) and when you do make a mistake just fix it and don't full panic. I think that's the main thing. Oh and also make sure you keep an eye out for all signs and school zones. Must stop at a stop completely at a stop sign...

Also when reversing look back and don't just use your mirrors. I tend to do that...

Meow! Claws are out, but he's right though, if you fail your manual license test, that means overall your not experienced enough so go back and practice :p

i got my Ps first go, you know you're ready for them when you just don't stall anymore. i mean its one thing to just LEARN driving (ie. right turns at T intersections = hard with no traffic lights). but its another thing too do them without thinking TOO much.

learn to be calm, today i had to do right hand turn on a very busy road both ways, so i had to g oacross 2 lanes (the cars gave me space), then i had to make my turn right, but then it was too busy and the car lanes i blocked off to turn right started moving so i had to reverse out, and try again. it was my first of that "complicated" ever but i took it fine because i had a calm mentality, imo once you have that confidence (but not overconfidence) then youknow you can do it.

mind you i was a bad boy, i drove ALOT around on my own in the manual while on my Ls. i would drive to uni, work etc. I did it purely cause i was convinced it would boost my confidence. and it did, i stalled less with nobody in the car. i felt less pressure, and now on my Ps. no accidents ever, i have been in one caused by someone else, ive prevented HEAPS caused by others.

Yeah I got mine at hornsby rta first go... Pity it was in a auto so i cant really help ya much but... Probably dont try and make small talk with the instructor, my friend did that and got in trouble for being too "distracted" from driving...

But yeah good luck!
