The Honda HSC was meant to take over? Look up the Honda HSC in the google image search.

The honda coupe's have not been selling that much in Aus, which caused the Civic and Prelude coupe to be scratched off our market :(. Although we have rumours that the pair will be back in a very different form ?

Not too sure whats ahead for the future and Honda, looks like we all have to wait and see.

I personally would go for an NSX.

But since most rich ppl tend to go for euro trash, honda just doesnt have a chance in the high class sports market. *sigh*

so sad...not that euro cars are bad, just jap cars have it's own style, and honda to me was the epidemy of jdms....now they seem like euro wannabes...they should just stick to wot thye're good at. down to earth, nice slick sport cars.

but we weren't even offered the NSX-R locally.
whereas the GT3 can be ordered from your local porsche dealer.

IMO, NSX has just as much class as euro sports cars and too would love one over a porsche/ferrari etc.... especially porsches... its true when ppl say they're all arrogant pricks because they are!! my 2cents.

well last time i walked into scotts honda, nsx had a price tag of 260k, the stereotyping is that no one pays that much for a jap car, not that there is nothing wrong with the car itself, its just that the image is porsche, ferrari, and if i was to fork out 260k, i would pick myself a 2nd hand GT3 with 10k on the clock.

when ppl buys cars of such category, they often go for brand rather than performance. Imagine this. "I drives a ferrari" or "I drives a honda". Sadly, but true. Although NSX-R kicked ass against those euro super cars, ppl still think tat its only a honda. However, personally, i go for NSX thou... lol

A perfect example would be the Mclaren F1 vs Ferrari F50. Without ANY doubt the F1 was the fastest road car ever produced (0-100 3.3, 389km/h max) but it struggled to sell more than 100 units - and that INCLUDED the cars shipped to race teams.

Ferrari on the other hand had absolutely no problem shifting all 349 F50s (0-100 3.9 and 330km/h - probably needs correcting but you get the idea). At the price those two cars were selling for, I doubt price affected the purchase decision. Ferrari probably could have sold much more had they not limited production.

If we all had 200/300k of hard earned dosh to spend, I doubt most people would easily say the NSX (unless we had the option to buy multiple supercars :D ). As much as I love the NSX, I wouldn't consider paying 260k for it. I'd definitely go 911 GT3RS and hang out with the Ferrari boys at track days (we all can dream :D ).

Maybe if the NSX was 150k....

it was leading all the way until it overheated...
that proves nsx = fully underrated

I know that ppl always say why buy a NSX for $260k !!!
you have to remember there is no other car manufacturer ever make a car with aluminium, magnesium and titanium back in 1990, and since 1990 HONDA already introduce the EPS ( Electronic Power Steering ) system but at that time its only on the NSX, but now almost on every model . . . and HONDA already start with drive by wire since late 1995, I think even the M3 its just start in 1999 model please correct me if I'm wrong, anyway for me nothing its better than HONDA

Look, i love honda's but the nsx is 70kW short of a GT3.. sure its 70kg lighter in standard form and what, 200kg lighter in NSX-R form, but 70kW! On anything but a very tight track, power wins.

I love the fact that Honda's are light, agile and handle like supercars can only dream but 70kW is too much! But if a new NSX was say $130k, then everyone would get one.

my mechanic (HANNYS Performance) always say ; honda can make any kw you just name it, but honda doesn't need that, honda want to make car that everyone can drive and enjoy, just like the NSX anyone can drive even an old lady too, just like the one advertise on drive.com in TAS, for me I just love HONDA

personally, i would prefer to get me a porsche. i think the nsx is ugly! but each to their own... i would honestly prefer my gen 2 crx over either and just mod it to the max :) as would be just as good on the road for me anyways, and be sexier.

wish that the HSC would be made though... now that car is nice.

nsx though, too much for what it is. but i guess if u got the money u may think differently

Yep. Definitely luxury car taxes...

I'd get a NSX though, after an S2K :)

Damn Honda makes good cars...
