I've noticed the performance of my car isnt what it used to be.
And I'm having a guess that my exhaust is leaking.

My Cat (metal cat) would scrape on speed humps most of the time.
So I think it may be leaking from the cat, hence the decrease in performance.

Is there any way to check if it is actually leaking? not including taking it to a specialist.

jack it up on all four, start the car, and listen for leaks, you'd be able to hear it.

you should really hear it without even jacking it up

somtimes it just maybe small
and easier to pin point since you can get under the car.

I'm running BC Spec 3, its hard enough listening to my music let alone a hissling sound!
I'll jack car up tomorrow.

Its usually more of a "fluffy" noise than a hiss.

The other way is to put your hand under and feel for air leaks. Just be careful not to touch the exhaust but i'm sure you know that. Usually the way to go if the exhaust is loud

If you still can't find it try using a piece of hose to listen to certain points.
I've dones these before but only on a hoist
