hey guys..i have an eg5 and the km meter stopped moving...any ideas??

Faulty speed sensor , just replace them

oh thanks for that, what would the cost to replace the speed sensor? oh and i mean the meter is stuck on 155,999km and is not moving. is that the same thing?

Does your speedometer stop working too ?

the speedometer is working, its just the km's ran that stopped moving.

It has broken a cog in the gearset, you can buy the cog for about $9, I will try remember the place that sells them.

do check ur speedo meter cable... in the engine bay.... tats wat happen 2 me b4...... speedo and km travelled thing not working..... found out it was loose...

But the speedo works in his case. my suggestion is to send it to one of those gauge re-calibration places to see if they can replace the cog or whatever is thats wrong with it. My mate's km's was stuck on 49,999km's for ages at least 2 years and one day it when upto 149,999km's haha, never a good thing.
