View Full Version : Dash Control Interface with aftermarket HUs

hey guys just a quick one... im not sure if it been discussed yet?? but if i pick up a aftermarket head unit.. how do i go about get the control panel next to steering wheel which controls the audio to work with it.. ive people have managed to get it operating with the aftermarket HU..

i just installed the dci for my alpine HU. It works perfect. Couldnt be happier :)

I was under the impression that after market head units could be hooked up with the S2k dash controls.

Why the f*k do new cars have to be so complicated.lol

Ok after reading that website it says that most stores have a wiring harness for the S2k so that new HU's can work with the dash controls without cutting the wires.

yeah i got the modifry one. I have an alpine so i got their plug n play harness. Took me 20mins to do the whole installation.

Also got the modifry glove box organiser. so awesome :D

They don't. If you don't hook up the dash controls it is just the same as any other car.

It only gets complicated if you want the modern features, and it ain't all that complicated. The answer is Modifry.

cool so u guys have all got the modifry one... i emailed them but no reply.. i was also not so sure but after seeing all u guys having it and having good feed back..
