i have a set of tein ss coilovers for dc5, and would it be possible to replace the ss stock springs with a stiffer spring.

yes i think you can. Jap brand 'swift' makes various springs and different spring rates. but i wouldnt recommend you going for a stiffer spring rate than what your coilover came with as the shocks are not designed for that sorta load...will prematurely damage the shocks,

Yes, if you bought SS brand new from Tein, you can actually order stiffer or softer springs from +-2kg/mm from the original spec.

tein ss for ozzy market have different spring rates compared form japan,is this correct?
