Has anyone replaced the OEM rubber shifter bushing to aluminum bushings? Or does anyone have any pictures or links where I can get more information on installing these? I've done some research but had no luck. Please help?

Mugen88 has them. It's a direct swap. You need to replace the cotter pins as well.

Yep replaced them a long time ago quite easy to do. The feel is more rigid and but it can feel notchy to others.

I'll see if I can dig some info up on these.

Mines a 06 as well, is it worth it um.... well its not a performance gain more of a solid shift feel/response if you like to drive through the 6spd.

I prefer the mugen shortshifter over the metal shifter bushings.

I also changed the shifter base to solid bushes so it feels more solid.

But if you change the whole shifter assembly like Aaron to a mugen one is better but not cheap.

I used the RSX shifter and base bushing kit from Speed-Source out of the USA, I think it was around $130 AUD shipped to Aust.

There was also some write ups from Acurzine on the install a while back and you can find more details info here: http://tsx.acurazine.com/forums/showthread.php?t=27158&highlight=shifter+bushing%22

I found these bushings on ebay. Do we need all 8 bushings to replace the stock rubber ones?

The one with the 2 metal bushings, it's located above the transmission in the engine bay. you need to remove your stock airbox to access it.

There are 2 separate locations. First are the shifter cable bushings. That's the one in the engine bay. The other one is the bushings under the shifter assembly in the cabin.

The ebay link you showed is for the bushings under the shifter assembly, not the ones in the engine bay.

Do I need to replace bushings for both places? (engine bay and under the shift)

You dont need to replace both but I did cause I after a stiffer feel in the shift and it was easy to the whole lot.

Replacing the shifter base bushings give the whole assembly more of a rigid feel because the factory ones are rubber.
