Who's got 17x7.5 rims on their DC2R? I just got a set on mine with Hankook RS2 215/40 but it sticks out about 15-20mm from the guard. It doesnt scrap or anything. Just wondering if anyone has been in trouble with the boys in blue or other hassles.

hmm thats weird, ive got a bb6 with 18x7.5 and they stick out just a lil. with +40 profiles lowered 2" all around i rub like a mofo and can handly turn. i dont spose theres a major difference between the dc2r n the bb6 right?

TYPE-R617

not sure what the difference is but i only scrap when im going up drive ways that are fairly high or maybe when i have a full car which i have not try.

does anyone think i can take these tyres back or is it not they're fault?

yeh my tyres on IEVAQ8 dc2r with ctr 18x7.5 has 215/35/18 no rubs or scrubs at all.

you must have the wrong size tyres........
go to a tyre place and tell them what you had orignal stock tyres and they can check the book and once you tell them what size wheels you are putting on they will tell you straight away what will fit..........

TYPE-R617

well it was them that suggested the size tyres that on there now. so your saying telling me you don't scrape what so ever bumps, humps, pot holes etc? you think i can take it back?

IEVAQ8

IEVAQ8

mmmmm. i dont doubt it, but its obviously not suited for your car........
talk to him, see if he can do something bout it, or you might have to sell them and get something else........

What tyres do you have on your rims, is your ride still on the stock suspension set up? I don't understand why mines is rubbing. I can't even go fast around corners anymore. You got any pics?

Yeh cheers but i seem to recall seeing 44 but will double check, but there is one thing i do recall seeing on the box a 27 was circle i'm assuming that was suppose to be for the offset but on the rim it said 44.

Votek can you recall seeing 44 on the rims?

not making any sense at all so can the tyres be wrong size? if so can i take them back since they were the ones that suggested the tyre size?

TYPE-R617, that looks fine, doesn't look like it's sticking out to me

its not the tyres that makes it stick out, its the offset. i think its mislabled however i have never heard of that happening. with offset44 it should sit like stock wheels nicely under the guards. ive got +38 and yet it still doesnt stick out that much

it does stick out, if you saw it in person you'd know what i'm talking about. don't get me wrong i dont mind it sticking out cos it looks mean and all but it just wont let me do what this car suppose to do which is go fast around corners etc cos it scrapes the guards.

i went back to the tyre place yesterday and they had a look and they said it was offset 30.

double check your wheels again, the offset has to be worng, its the only other thing that can be wrong

oops, i looked at the wrong pics... it's the white car!
oh, that does look bad. Did you get them new off the tyres place.. if so, they are definitely the wrong offset and get them replaced. there's not much you can do about it.
